BUREAUCRACY:
The PC has a hand in the internal workings of the governments. It could be on
either local, state, or federal levels. The codes, laws, ordinances, and
regulations are a mystery, yet the char can often bend them or use them to their
advantage.
1: trace utility bills
2: can get fake papers (birth cert. or driver’s license)/cause a road closure or
shut down a small park for restoration
3: Get public aid, acquire harder to get papers (death cert., passports,
etc)/close a public school or bring about the demise of a business.
4: Falsify land deeds, initiate internal investigations of the department
(office)
CHURCH:
The religious orders have their own politics and intrigue that can be
manipulated by the cagey PC. This sphere covers the “mainstream religions” like
the Christian faiths, Islam, Buddhism, etc. The so called “new Age” religions
may or may not fall under the Occult sphere.
1: Identify the local figures of the given faith. Can pass as a fellow
clergyman/woman and go through the church records.
2: Identify the higher members, track the regular church goers, suspend a
layman.
3: Open or close a single church. Find the Hunter (if any) associated with that
particular church/faith. Access the collections (no more than $250) and get into
the church’s private records.
4: Can discredit or suspend the higher echelon members. Manipulate the church’s
regional branches and organize religious protests.
FINANCE:
The PC can talk with the money men and always know just where to go to get the
backing they need, if they don’t have it already themselves. The realm of money
is but a plaything to the one with this sphere.
1: learn about major transactions and financial events. Can raise up to $1000 in
capital. Learn the general economic trends or the real motivations the actions
of others.
2: trace an unsecured account. Raise capital to purchase a small business.
3: Purchase a large business
4: Manipulate the banks. Can build or destroy a business.
HEALTH:
The Health sphere gives the PC access to the medical field and all it offers.
1: Access patient records. Fake vaccinations. Have fun at public medical
functions and access research material.
2: Get minor lab tests done. Get a copy of a coroner’s report (unedited) ,
investigate small quarantines.
3: Botch or alter lab results. Alter medical records
4: Acquire a cadaver or fresh body. Rewrite medical records. Abuse medical
grants of up to $250. Get medical research performed on a subject . Institute
large scale quarantines. Shut down a business for health violations.
HIGH SOCIETY:
This is the realm of the social elite. The PC with this sphere is perceived to
be one of them and can direct or use them as his weapons.
1:Track the fashion trends. Get the choicest of seats for shows, etc. Usually
knows about show locations and itineraries well before they go public.
2: Track celebrities. Be a local voice in the entertainment field. Borrow up to
$1000 from friends.
3: Can ruin a career and hobnob with the best of them.
4: PC has minor celebrity status. (Fame 1)
INDUSTRY:
PCs with this sphere have their fingers in what literally builds the world.
1: Learn about industrial projects and trends.
2: Get minor projects done. Dip into the unions or perform minor embezzlement up
to $500. Perform small acts of sabotage or accidents.
3: Organize a small strike or borrow equipment for a short time.
4: close down a major plant.
LEGAL:
With the present state of affairs in the world, its only the most innocent who
have anything to truly fear. With this sphere, the PC has a hand in the legal
activities within the halls of Justice and the Courts.
1: free representations for minor cases.
2: get minor charges dropped or avoid bail.
3: Manipulate the system, access court funds ($300) get representation for
nearly any charge.
4: Issue a subpoena, tie up the courts, get almost any charge dropped, cancel or
arrange a parole.
MEDIA:
The media is the eyes and ears of the world. If they talk about it, it is heard
by all. And if they decide to cover it up, if may never come to light.
1: Submit small articles and learn about breaking stories first.
2: Suppress (NOT stop) small articles or stories. Get hands on the investigative
reports.
3: initiate stories. Get project funding or ground stories.
4: broadcast fake stories and reports on the local media.
OCCULT:
The Occult and New Age religions has seen an upsurge in its activities as more
and more people become interested in the paranormal or supernatural. PCs with
this Sphere have an inside track to this area that could open the eyes of the
masses to what is actually sharing their world with them.
1: can contact with and use common occult groups. Know the basic practices of
the movement and can recognize the more visible figures of the group.
2: Know and contact the more obscure members or figures. Can access the
resources needed for most rites.
3: Know the general vicinity of potential supernatural entities and could
possibly contact them. Access vital or rare material components. Milk the
impressionable new ager for up to $250. Access occult tomes and writings (the
real ones) and research a basic ritual from your sect.
4: Research a more intricate or dangerous ritual.
POLICE:
Their motto is “To Protect and Serve.” Yet it is becoming questionable as to
just whom that axiom applies. Most are corrupted and dissatisfied. PCs with this
sphere can take care of some things that would be best kept from the light of
day by using those whose main job is to enforce the laws.
1:Know or learn police SOP. Get police info and avoid most traffic tickets.
2:Get a license plate checked, avoid minor violations, and get inside info.
3:Get a copy of a police/detective’s report. Get the cops to detain, hassle, or
harass someone. Unearth departmental secrets
4:Access contraband. Get serious charges dropped, get an investigation started.
Acquire money from the evidence room or via Appropriation( up to $1000)
POLITICS:
If the sincerest form of flattery is indeed imitation then the vampires of the
world must be delighted by the intrigue and cut throat actions that take place
within this sphere.
1: Minor lobbying, Identify real platforms of politicians and parties. Be in the
know.
2: Meet small time politicians, garner inside information on process/laws and
the like. Use a slush fund or fund raiser of no more than $1000.
3: Sway political agendas.
4: Enact minor legislation, Dash a career.
STREET:
The forgotten denizens of the city. As a result of being ignored, they created a
subculture and lifestyle all their own. Many of them make an excellent source
for the savvy.
1: Can hear the local whispers. Know most gangs by color, turf or habit.
2: Can travel the meanest of streets without concern. Have contacts within a few
of the gangs. Or other aspects of the life.
3: Can get insight into the other spheres. Can arrange “services” from the
gangs. Can get no automatic pistols or uncommon melee weapons.
4: Mobilize groups of homeless, panhandle or hold a collection of up to $250.
Access to a shotgun or rifle. Have a serious word in gang operations.
TRANSPORTATION:
Even in its earliest of times, the world was in constant motion. Only the means
of that motion has changed. With careful use, this sphere can bring more than
just a city to its knees.
1: Know what goes where, when, and how. Travel quickly and usually free.
2: Track a target if they use public transportation. Arrange “safe” passage.
3: Seriously hamper an individual’s to travel. Avoid most supernatural dangers
when traveling.
4: Shut one mode of transportation. Route money or reroute major modes.
UNDERWORLD:
In every city, there is always a secret society or hidden world that provides
for questionable needs or services requested. And there is always an organized
company who make these provisions.
1: Locate minor contraband.
2: Obtain non automatic pistols, serious drugs, stolen cars. Can hire “muscle”
fence stolen goods, and generally prove that crime does indeed pay.
3:Obtain a rifle, shotgun or up to four automatic weapons. Arrange a hit, or
meet someone in the Family.
4: Make white collar connections.
UNIVERSITY:
Information is power. And the quest for knowledge begins in the school. With
this sphere comes a certain degree of control or even involvement in the
institutions of higher learning.
1: Know the layout and policy of the local schools. Have access to one level of
school resources f up to $250. Can acquire records up to high school level.
2: Know a personal contact with useful knowledge or ability. Has minor access to
the school facilities. Fake high school records and get college records.
3: Can call in a favor to the faculty. Can cancel a class, fix grades, or
discredit a student.
4: Can organize student rallies or protests. Can discredit a faculty member.
